Customer Service Representative, Puerto Rico

Summary

Trailer Bridge is looking for energetic, talented, self-motivated go-getters to join and support our Account Management team in Puerto Rico.  The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, both oral and written. The Customer Service Representative is also responsible for promoting and maintaining positive relationships with internal Trailer Bridge personnel, as well as external vendors, suppliers, and customers.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for prompt and satisfactory resolution of customer issues or escalation to the assigned account manager
  • Review reports to determine new codes for consignee. Create and amend codes as needed to ensure accurate arrival notice delivery
  • Gather all needed information and update bookings with arrival notice information
  • Assist POV customers with basic inquiries
  • Provide immediate response to basic customer inquiries including, but not limited to, tracing, arrival status, bookings, documentations, accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Maintain current knowledge of booking procedures and provide back up to the department, as needed
  • Ensure documentation is submitted to the tax office and customer paperwork is available two days prior to vessel arrival
  • Ensure arrival notices are processed timely to advise customer of cargo availability
  • Provide information to customers including proof of deliveries or dispatches, upon request
  • Reviews paperwork to ensure cargo is released according to applicable regulations
  • Researches and resolves discrepancies with bookings, documentation, or rating in a timely fashion
  • Provide information to internal and external customers such as vessel schedule, delivery receipt copies, inspection reports, etc.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
  • Detail oriented with the ability to analyze data and circumstances
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while continuing to meet deadlines
  • Energetic and positive attitude
