Trailer Bridge Awarded Silver Bell Humanitarian Award

On June 6, Trailer Bridge was honored as a recipient of the Silver Bell Humanitarian Award for their contribution to post-Hurricane Maria recovery efforts in Puerto Rico. The award was presented at Chelsea Piers in New York City sponsored by Seamen’s Church Institute (SCI) and presented to Trailer Bridge, Crowley Maritime, and Tote Maritime for their efforts during the recovery. For more than forty years, SCI has held the Silver Bell Awards Dinner to celebrate individuals or groups in recognition of their outstanding leadership in the maritime community. The annual event raises funds for valuable support services to both international seafarers and US mariners. Some areas of recognition are legal advocacy, education, and pastoral care. The Silver Bell Awards Dinner is SCI’s largest annual fundraising event, and is crucial to strengthening services and enhancing SCI’s contribution to the maritime industry.
