Indie B. Bollman will lead the company’s initiatives around employee services, growth, and retention

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., October 25, 2022: Trailer Bridge, Inc. today announced Indie B. Bollman has been named Chief People Officer responsible for the company’s employee services and organizational development strategy. The new addition to the company’s
c-suite signals and prioritizes the importance of the human element of logistics.

Bollman joined the company in 2015 as Director of Human Resources leading Trailer Bridge’s efforts in corporate development, compensation and payroll, employee services, marketing, recruiting and compliance. She was promoted in 2019 to the position of Vice President of Organizational Development. She holds an MBA from the University of North Florida, as well as two certifications: Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM Senior Certified Professional certification.

“Indie has been instrumental in shaping our culture here at TB, one that is focused on service. First and foremost, service to our employees, but also to our customers and partners,” said Trailer Bridge CEO Mitch Luciano. “She brings the expertise we need in organizational development but more importantly, she brings love for the work she does and for our team every day.”

As Chief People Officer, Bollman will lead the strategy design and implementation of Trailer Bridge’s people operations including human resources, marketing, recruiting, and training and development. This includes the initiatives needed to reach a headcount of 1,000 employees within five years in offices across North America.

“Our goal is to always support a culture where employees love the work they do and understand that logistics is well, personal; and for me, it could not be more true,” said Bollman. “I am incredibly grateful for the continued opportunity to ‘go for it’ as Mitch would say, supporting our people to do our best to make sure there’s a little fun each day, our employees thrive and, ultimately, our company grows – and always in that order.”

In partnership with Luciano, she develops and leads the company’s in-house leadership development training program. The program, Extreme Leader Leadership Development Program which began in 2015, focuses on three main areas of teaching: being an extreme leader, how to lead an extreme team and the why behind extreme service. To date, the pair has graduated eight groups of leaders from the program.

Most recently, Bollman led the launch of Trailer Bridge’s first in-house training and development team, dedicated to supporting employees’ needs in their current roles as well as the roles they want next in their career. Under her direction, the new T&D team is creating educational courses focused on the company’s logistics operations as well as soft skills needed to be successful in any workplace such as public speaking, peer-to-peer communication and more.

“We want all of our people at TB to love where they work and how we serve others by the services we provide,” added Bollman. “A big part of that is continuing to invest in their growth and development and remembering to let them know that they are valued and accepted.”

“Our culture of service is our differentiator,” said Luciano. “Protecting that culture and cultivating it as we continue to grow is our priority. Indie will lead the way for doing that, and I know she will do it with love, just as she has done for the past seven years.”

Trailer Bridge has experienced rapid growth over the past three years, adding logistics offices across the U.S., nearly doubling its headcount, as well as adding an International Division focused on moving freight globally and teams focused on intermodal movements, less-than-truckload freight, and government cargo.
