Trailer Bridge Inc. (Trailer Bridge) is honored to be recognized for a third year in a row as a Healthiest Company on the First Coast – confirming Trailer Bridge’s commitment in promoting a healthy lifestyle to its employees for both physical and mental health.
The Healthiest Companies award, presented by First Coast Worksite Wellness Council (FCWWC), is awarded to companies who demonstrate efforts in creating a culture of health and wellness within their organizations. As a Silver Award winner, Trailer Bridge is being recognized for its encouragement of a healthy lifestyle through both communications and on-site activities, plus offering programs that address other dimensions of wellness outside of physical well-being.
“Culture is at the forefront of everything we do here,” said Trailer Bridge CEO Mitch Luciano. “That includes taking care of each other. Whether it’s through group exercise classes, coaching, or just having open and honest communication with one another, our priority is providing an environment where our team members can thrive.”
Successful wellness programs require both leadership and employee involvement. At Trailer Bridge, employees have a wide selection to choose from such as physical activities including group classes and monthly activity challenges, health screenings and initiatives, emotional & mental wellness offerings, and financial wellness guidance. Additionally, employees have the opportunity to present any new ideas to the wellness committee for future consideration.
“We want to offer our employees the opportunity to choose from various wellness options,” said Trailer Bridge Vice President, Organizational Development Indie B. Bollman. “Given today’s climate, it’s no longer a question that wellness programs should be implemented. Sometimes it’s just about finding the best ways to incorporate ideas and understanding how they will evolve in the future.” FCWWC is an initiative designed to improve the health of the First Coast community by sharing resources and providing guidance to local businesses. The FCWWC positions itself as the First Coast community leader in supporting workplace health and wellness programs by providing networking opportunities, training, education, and resources to support the growth and development of wellness professionals and the organizations they serve. Programs and events are designed to support organizations who are new to wellness and those seeking to expand upon established programs. “Trailer Bridge is thrilled to receive this award for a third year in a row,” said Luciano. “We continue to remain committed to our employees, investing in them and fostering a culture of exceptional well-being so they may in turn continue to offer outstanding service to our customers.”
