Announcing Trailer Bridge’s 2022 President’s Award Honorees
22 Dec 2022

Trailer Bridge is proud to announce this year’s President’s Award recipients:

  • Artemio Agosto Perez, Financial & Compliance Analyst, Puerto Rico
  • Ryan Smith, Logistics Sales and Operations, Los Angeles
  • Michael Leary, Senior Creative Services Specialist, Jacksonville

The President’s Award is a distinction first introduced in 2015 by Trailer Bridge CEO Mitch Luciano when he stepped into his new leadership role. Although the company had a 24-year history at that point, he felt the award was an important addition to moving both our people and our business forward.

Each year, Mitch hand-selects Trailer Bridge team members who are exceptional examples of kindness, respect, and trustworthiness to receive the award. Candidates are considered based on suggestions from previous winners and from Mitch’s observations and interactions throughout the year.

“So many companies give this type of award for the top performer, but I knew the only way we would succeed as an organization was through love and kindness – to each other and our customers,” he said. “This award honors those who live out those characteristics.”

The President’s award has become a badge of honor throughout the company, as it symbolizes the culture of service we all work hard to cultivate at Trailer Bridge.

In the following section, this year’s winners reflect on their successes at Trailer Bridge and what receiving the award means to them.

What does receiving the President’s Award mean to you?

Receiving this award truly is an honor. As someone who gets to sit here day in and day out creating art, it came as a bit of a surprise. I hold a unique role in the company that not many other people get the opportunity to do. And being recognized not only for the work I put together but for the way I go about doing it is so special to me.

What is your proudest accomplishment at Trailer Bridge so far?

For me, as a graphic designer there is always a sense of accomplishment when completing a project. It’s always satisfying to see an idea come to life and turn into something great. However, I think the one thing I am most proud of is being fully trusted by my team and TB leadership to take the creative reigns of the brand to create content that tells the TB story in the most unique and engaging way possible.

What advice would you give someone about doing well at Trailer Bridge?

Be yourself and work your butt off. Hard work doesn’t go unnoticed here at TB and it comes with a sense of gratification. Being genuine to who you are and building relationships with not only your coworkers, but your friends, makes work so much more enjoyable which then makes you want to work even harder.

Trailer Bridge is honored to celebrate this year’s President’s Award honorees who are shining examples of what it means to embody our TB12 core values. We are strong believers that our people are what make us different, and we are committed to supporting their growth both now and in the future.
