Celebrating One Year of Trailer Bridge Europe: A Foundation for Global Growth
One year ago, Trailer Bridge took a bold step in its global expansion—launching its first European location in Frankfurt, Germany. The move marked the beginning of Trailer Bridge Europe (TBE), a division created to serve the complex and growing logistics needs across the continent.
In just 12 months, TBE has expanded operations into 10 countries, offering integrated air, ocean, and over-the-road transportation solutions, while also providing critical support to Trailer Bridge’s Government Division operations in Denmark and Norway.
“The idea to expand our footprint globally began a few years ago, so it’s exciting to see that vision become a reality as we celebrate TBE’s first full year in service,” said Mitch Luciano, CEO of Trailer Bridge. “The team has created a service that is truly unmatched bringing the knowledge and experience needed to support a wide range of customers. This is only the beginning, and I’m excited to see what year two and beyond brings.”
Delivering Results, Globally
Behind this momentum is a team of experienced logistics professionals and a growing portfolio of successful projects. Chris Goss, Vice President of Government and Projects, leads the strategic direction of TBE working alongside Jason Trubenbach, Director of Trailer Bridge Europe. Together the two have nearly 50 years of combined industry experience.
The pair, along with the extended team, delivered significant results in the first year. Most notably:

In support of NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), TB Europe facilitated the movement of 40 containers and four vehicles from Bucharest, Romania to Taranto, Italy, showcasing its capability to coordinate complex, multinational projects with precision.
TB Europe also played a key role in executing the first shipment under Trailer Bridge’s USTRANSCOM All Ports Denmark contract, valued at $60.5 million. Working alongside TB’s Government division, the team managed the transport of 1,722 pieces through Esbjerg, Denmark to the US—demonstrating the power of a globally integrated operation.
These wins highlight what makes TB Europe different: agility, global coordination, and an unwavering commitment to mission success.
“This milestone is not just a reflection of what we’ve achieved but also a testament to the incredible potential that lies in the future,” shared Chris Goss. “With a dedicated team, strategic partnerships, and a strong foundation in European logistics, we're just getting started.”
Expanding Our Reach—and Vision
From Frankfurt to Oslo, Barcelona to Bucharest, Trailer Bridge Europe now offers a logistics footprint that spans the continent, enabling customers to move freight efficiently across borders and modes.
“In just 12 months, we’ve delivered seamless transportation solutions for our customers across 10 countries while supporting vital port operations,” said Jason Trubenbach, Director of TB Europe. “Each month brings more momentum, and I’m energized by the direction we're heading.”
This anniversary is more than a milestone—it represents Trailer Bridge’s ongoing commitment to evolve alongside its customers, wherever they do business. The company’s origin story lies in the Jones Act Puerto Rican trade lane and the growth beyond that has been driven entirely by customer demand. As Luciano notes, the past decade of growth—from domestic trucking to freight forwarding—has been a direct response to what customers need.
TB Europe is helping deliver on that promise by combining global reach with the hands-on, personalized service that defines the Trailer Bridge brand.
Looking Ahead
“As we enter year two, we’re excited to deepen partnerships across Europe, continue delivering for government and commercial customers, and expand our solutions into new regions,” adds Goss. “If you’re seeking a logistics partner who brings global capability with a personal touch—let’s connect. TB Europe is just getting started.”
