The results are in and Trailer Bridge and its marketing team have taken home not one, but THREE 2023 Transportation Marketing and Sales Association (TMSA) awards: the Trailblazer, Purpose, and Rising Star – Marketing awards.
TMSA is a national non-profit organization that empowers sales and marketing professionals in the freight transportation industry through networking, professional development, and resources to strengthen the logistics industry.
In 2022, the organization revitalized their award program, now called the Trailblazer Awards, which are presented in recognition of exceptional marketing and sales individuals and campaigns that contribute to moving the industry forward.
This year, Trailer Bridge and its marketing team are proud to have been recognized in these three award categories:
The Trailblazer award is presented to companies whose creativity and innovation in sales and marketing create results and momentum for progress in the logistics space.
Trailer Bridge’s “Adventure Awaits” campaign did just that, taking a unique approach to attract new talent to join our growing company by offering relocation packages to our offices across the country.
The campaign promoted that work was about more than the “9-5” and job seekers were presented the option to create a successful career in some of the country’s most popular cities like Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Nashville, and Raleigh. The messaging was accompanied by dynamic imagery of the exciting experiences awaiting them in each city.
A combination of digital and physical marketing was created to target job candidates in a variety of settings:
- Social media ads on LinkedIn and Instagram posts
- A dynamic landing page with more information about Trailer Bridge, the relocation program, and an interest form
- Location fact sheets
- Stickers featuring graphics for each location
- Roll-up banners
- Drink koozies
The campaign was continued into 2023 to support the company’s involvement in career fairs.
The Purpose Award is presented to companies “who go above and beyond the normal duties of their industry by impacting their communities at large.”
As a company built on service, this recognition is especially meaningful to Trailer Bridge. We believe we are more than a logistics company. We are driven by the larger purpose of caring for our people, including our employees, neighbors, and communities around the world who depend on us to deliver the goods they need to thrive.
To help carry out this mission, Trailer Bridge’s in-house community outreach team, TBGives, connects the company with non-profits that align with our values. Here are a few of our outreach efforts noted in our Purpose Award submission.
Rally por Puerto Rico Charity Golf Tournament
As part of our commitment to the Puerto, Trailer Bridge partnered with ATS International to host the annual Rally por Puerto Rico charity golf tournament, where all proceeds support Habitat for Humanity of Puerto Rico. In 2022, the tournament raised more than $100,000 of much-needed funds for the organization to use in their mission to make home ownership and repair opportunities possible for low-income families on the island.
Dreams Come True Jacksonville
Trailer Bridge supports the efforts of Dreams Come True Jacksonville, a non-profit local to our corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, FL that fulfills dreams for children with life-threatening illnesses.
In 2022, we were honored to sponsor the dream of a little boy named Michael who wanted to go to Disney world with his family. When it came time to reveal that his dream came true, our entire corporate office got involved in throwing him a reveal party that he wouldn’t forget.
In addition to sponsoring Michael’s dream, Trailer Bridge also supports the organization at events throughout the year like the Dreams Come True 5k and Halloween Trunk or Treat.
In 2023, we are increasing our contributions to Dreams Come True to be able to reach more families while making a positive impact on our community.
We are also expanding our outreach efforts to benefit more organizations such as Ronald McDonald House Charities who provides housing for families who have to relocate while their child receives medical treatment. We contribute to this charity monthly by stocking the pantry for residents of Ronald McDonald House locations close to our offices in Jacksonville, FL, Nashville, TN, and Atlanta, GA.
Rising Star Award – Marketing
Michael Leary, Trailer Bridge’s Senior Creative Services Specialist, received the Rising Star Award for the marketing category.
This award doesn’t recognize the company, but instead acknowledges an individual new to the logistics and transportation industry that “has proven their skill and determination” in sales or marketing.
Michael has gone above and beyond these qualifications since he first started at Trailer Bridge in 2021 through his innovative designs and willingness to take on (and succeed) at new challenges.
In 2022, Michael was one of Trailer Bridge’s recipients of the President’s Award – an accolade presented by our CEO that recognizes exceptional individuals in the company for displaying honor, integrity, and respect.
His creative eye and unique ideas have helped elevate the company’s brand – from introducing new elements that allow us to stand out from industry competitors to assuring that there is a consistent look and feel across all company collateral.
His abilities span across multiple media types including digital and print design, photography, videography, and more.
Some of his recent projects include:
- Employee profile videos tracing their unique journeys at Trailer Bridge
- Mastering the World of Logistics video in partnership with Mastery Logistics Systems, promoting our adoption of their TMS, Mastermind™
- Web design for our “Shift Your Thinking” landing page
Continuing to Raise the Bar for Trailer Bridge
While these awards specifically honor marketing and sales accomplishments, they signify the contributions and hard work of every person in the Trailer Bridge team to move the company and the industry forward. We are proud to have been recognized by TMSA and plan to continue pushing boundaries as Trailer Bridge moves toward the goal of being a billion-dollar company by 2027.
