Our History.
Trailer Bridge, Inc., the parent company of Trailer Bridge Europe, was founded in 1991 by industry-pioneer Malcom McLean, known for his work to revolutionize the process and movement of cargo globally. In its early years, the company was focused on servicing the Caribbean market with direct ocean barge service to and from Puerto Rico as a Jones Act Carrier.
Trailer Bridge today is a full-service transportation provider offering a full suite of solutions to shippers of all sizes around the world; from domestic trucking and rail movements in North America to building global supply chains with international shipments, less-than-load, and air cargo. All its supply chain services are backed by an award-winning culture of service delivered to customers by the company’s more than 300 logistics experts spread out in locations throughout North America.
