A New Chapter for Trailer Bridge
Trailer Bridge is entering a new chapter following the departure of our longtime CEO, Mitch Luciano.
For 14 years, Mitch played an important role in shaping Trailer Bridge and the way we serve our customers, particularly across our Puerto Rico trade. His leadership helped carry forward the spirit of innovation established by our founder, Malcom McLean, challenging our team to think differently about what is possible and how we can better serve our customers.
As we look ahead, the three of us are working closely with our Board and the broader leadership team to continue Trailer Bridge’s forward progress.
Our focus is clear: support our people, serve our customers, and continue strengthening our business.
This is already underway. One of our highest priorities is delivering greater consistency across our Puerto Rico service. We know there is work to do, and we are investing in the people, assets and partnerships needed to strengthen our operation for the long term.
This year, that has included significant investment in our roll-on, roll-off vessels through scheduled dry docks, increased reefer capabilities and new technology across our fleet. We are also strengthening the partnerships that support our service from the terminal to the water. You can read about those investments in the stories below.
These are not short-term decisions. They are investments in the service we are committed to providing the people of Puerto Rico for decades to come.
Over the past few months, we have spent a great deal of time listening to our customers and our teams. Consistency matters. Communication matters. Ease of doing business matters. And, most importantly, earning and keeping your trust matters.
As we look to the end of 2026, we want to finish strong. We are energized by the opportunities that lie ahead.
Thank you for your continued trust, partnership, and business. We look forward to writing the next chapter of the Trailer Bridge story.
