One of the things I value most about this industry and about life is the power of coming together. I’ve seen it time and again, both personally and professionally.
One of the most memorable moments was in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, which devastated Puerto Rico. Trailer Bridge was the first carrier to arrive after the storm passed with our barge loaded full of supplies. That same week a small group of our team boarded a private jet carrying chainsaws, tools, and essentials. Why? To help our neighbors.
That experience continues to remind me of something important: we are fortunate to live and work in a world where many perspectives exist. And when we bring those viewpoints together, we build something stronger than we ever could alone.
That truth feels especially meaningful today. In a time when the world around us feels more divided than ever, this spirit of unity matters more than ever.
Our industry has endured one of the longest freight recessions in recent memory. While challenges like this are difficult, they also remind us of the importance of solidarity—leaning on one another, sharing ideas, and working as partners to create better solutions.
Recently, I joined other logistics leaders in a discussion about what’s next for our industry in Jacksonville. The resounding theme was clear: collaboration is key. Together—carriers, shippers, service providers, partners, even competitors have the power to create opportunities that move not only freight, but our entire industry forward. But only if we’re willing to put aside what divides us and focus on the strength of a collaborative, unified mindset.
At Trailer Bridge, that spirit guides how we serve. Every shipment, every interaction, every solution is built with the goal of service, not only for those who fit a certain profile or share the same beliefs, but for all. Our people, our customers, our partners, our communities, our neighbors.
We are grateful for the trust you place in us, and we are committed to walking alongside you through both the challenges and the opportunities ahead.
My encouragement to you is this: seek out opportunities for unity and collaboration. Find moments, small or big, to celebrate our differences and use them to strengthen the world we’re building—for our children and their children.
Because at the end of the day, we are all neighbors.
